Role Profile
Maintaining the company’s wide range of production equipment to ensure minimal down time and high levels of productivity and quality. Equipment to include;
PCB SMT production machines + feeders
DEK Printer - PCB stencil machines
Reflow ovens
Through hole wave soldering machine
Electronic test rigs
Conformal coating machine
Compressed air system
Cable harness production equipment
Automatic double end terminating machines
Bench crimping presses
Crimp applicators and Sleeving Cutter
Production / capacity planning – supporting the operations manager and production manager
Raising works orders in accordance with the agreed plan
Liaising with sales
Liaising with purchasing to ensure adequate stocks of components to meet the plan
Assist with costing and estimating
Produce route cards (may involve some basic work study techniques)
Produce production documentation including work instructions and drawings.
Knowledge of MRP systems
Set up of parts
Create BOMs on system
Skills and experience
An experienced production/process engineer with sound knowledge of PCB and cable harness electronics manufacture, equipment and process’s. Candidates with 5 years experience preferred
