When heavy vehicles pull away from standstill, the BWMOIS system gives drivers an early warning of vulnerable road users (VRUs) — such as cyclists or pedestrians — within 3.7 m in front and 0.5 m to either side. This dramatically reduces the risk of “pull-away” incidents in urban environments.
