Rustbuster’s Hot Fog Rustproofing, What’s Fogging???

19-02-2025

For many years, Rustbuster has relied on cavity injection equipment from Canadian manufacturer Lemmer. Established in 1965, Lemmer is renowned for producing high-quality rustproofing tools, including a pump known as the Fogger, which forms a key part of their range.

Rustbuster’s Hot Fog Rustproofing – What is Fogging?

Fogging is one of the most effective methods for applying cavity wax inside vehicle doors, inaccessible structural areas, aircraft, industrial machinery and even military equipment. It ensures comprehensive coverage in areas where rust protection is often most needed but hardest to reach.

When used in conjunction with heated wax—such as Rustbuster Corrolan Active, maintained at a temperature of 40°C—the process produces what is known as a ‘hot fog’. Unlike conventional application methods, this technique ensures the wax is consistently applied in a warm, fluid state, enabling it to flow, spread and penetrate effectively into seams, joints and narrow gaps.

The fogging equipment disperses the wax in a fine mist, similar to the way a subtle scent drifts across a field of wildflowers. Even in areas where a thick visible coating is not present, Corrolan Active will still settle on the surface, offering reliable corrosion protection.

This innovative method ensures long-lasting, invisible protection in the most challenging environments, reinforcing Rustbuster’s commitment to premium-quality rustproofing solutions.
