The Stedall 309-24NV Handeman Xtra provides warm running water for hand washing in commercial vehicles, welfare conversions and vehicle-mounted installations using a suitable auxiliary power supply. Manufactured by Teal, this compact 24V unit combines a heated fresh-water reservoir with a removable bowl that collects waste water. Non-Voltage-Sensing Operation. The NV version starts heating when electrical power is supplied, with the thermostat cycling the heater to maintain water temperature. It is intended for installations where power is controlled separately, including suitable auxiliary-battery arrangements on vehicle-mounted and trailer applications.

Fit an appropriate switch or relay to isolate the supply when heating is not required and prevent unintended battery discharge. The power source must be capable of supporting the heater load. Warm Water for Working Crews.

Water is dispensed at 38–43°C through a fingertip-operated tap. Allow approximately 15 minutes for initial heating. The 3.3-litre reservoir provides approximately 15 short hand washes per fill, depending on water use.

No Separate Waste Tank or Drain Pipe. Fill the reservoir manually with clean cold water. Used water collects inside the removable bowl, separate from the fresh-water supply. The bowl detaches for emptying and cleaning, removing the need for a separate waste pipe or waste-water container. Compact Vehicle Installation.

Measuring 370mm high, 310mm wide and 220mm deep when closed, the Handeman Xtra provides practical hand-washing facilities within a compact installation space.
