Product Code: 85-5

85-5 Talking Reverse & Left-Turn Alarm – 12/24V, 90dB, IP69K: 85-5 Multifunction Talking Reverse & Left-Turn Alarm – 12/24V.

One compact alarm. Reversing warning, left-turn warning, night mode, automatic mute and sensor integration. The Stedall 85-5 Multifunction Vehicle Warning Alarm offers considerably more functionality than a conventional reversing beeper. Designed for commercial vehicles, trucks, vans and specialist vehicles, the 85-5 incorporates two clear spoken safety warnings:

“Reversing” – 90 dB. “Left Turn” – 90 dB. That means a single unit can provide both reversing and left-turn audible warnings, helping alert pedestrians, cyclists and other road users when the vehicle is manoeuvring.

Much More Than a Standard Reversing Alarm. The 85-5 has been designed as a flexible vehicle warning system rather than simply an alarm that sounds whenever reverse gear is selected. Depending on how it is installed, its additional functions can include:

90 dB spoken “Reversing” warning.
90 dB spoken “Left Turn” warning. Reduced-volume 45 dB night mode.

Selectable night silent mode. Automatic control through vehicle lighting. Hazard-light controlled mute.

Integration with ultrasonic reversing sensors. Output for ancillary warning lamps. This gives vehicle builders and fleet operators considerable flexibility from one inexpensive warning unit.

Reduce Night-Time Noise. Reversing alarms can cause unnecessary disturbance when vehicles operate early in the morning, late at night or in residential areas. The 85-5 provides a 45 dB reduced-volume night function for both its reversing and left-turn messages.

The alarm can also enter night silent mode by engaging reverse twice within two seconds, while the function can alternatively be controlled through the vehicle’s side lights or headlights. This allows the installation to be configured around the way the vehicle actually operates. Intelligent Reversing-Sensor Integration.

The 85-5 can also be connected to a compatible ultrasonic reversing sensor system. Instead of the alarm necessarily operating continuously whenever reverse is selected, it can be configured so that the warning operates when the vehicle is in close proximity to an obstacle. For suitable applications, this can provide a more targeted warning while helping reduce unnecessary noise.

Audible AND Visual Warning. Need more than sound? The 85-5 provides an output that can be connected to suitable ancillary warning lamps, allowing the installation to provide both an audible and visual warning.

One alarm can therefore form the heart of a more comprehensive vehicle manoeuvring warning system. Built for Commercial Vehicles. This isn’t a lightweight accessory.

The 85-5 is IP69K rated, providing a very high level of protection against water and high-pressure cleaning, and is designed to operate from -30°C to +80°C. It is suitable for both 12V and 24V vehicles and carries E11 10R05-10781 approval. Key Specification.

One Alarm. Multiple Functions. Exceptional Value. Why install a basic reversing beeper when one compact unit can provide spoken reversing and left-turn warnings, night-time noise reduction, sensor integration and visual warning capability? The Stedall 85-5 packs an unusually comprehensive range of commercial-vehicle safety functions into one affordable unit.
