Tamper evident labels can be used for a multitude of purposes, andcome in a variety of types, and can be used for security sealingapplications where a plastic seal would not be suitable - sealingretail packaging for electronic equipment for instance. Another example of their use is security sealing a van going into anairport, to comply with the new Department of Transport legislation, where the van doesn't have any door fixings that a plastic security sealwould be able to be used on. In this case a numbered non-resi(meaning when the label is removed, no adhesive residue is left on thesurface) label would be stuck across both rear doors, to provide tamperevidence. Once affixed to the surface, the label displays a "VOID"message on any parts of the label which have been peeled off of theoriginal surface, ensuring that as long as the label is in tact that thegoods inside are as they were when the vehicle was loaded and sealed.
