We have had Several inquiries recently regarding Driver CPC training and the Working Time Directive.
So to set the record straight, WTD (Road Transport Directive) legislation specifies that:-
“Time during which the mobile worker cannot dispose freely of his time and is required to be at his workstation, ready to take up normal work, with certain tasks associated with being on duty”.
In this case a workstation means location of the main place of business together with subsidiary places of business.
Therefore training time must be counted towards the Working Time Directive.
